Lifting Pucks

I made my own

If you are handy at all save yourself alot of money and use hockey pucks.

Yep, get that bmw one. You never know when u will want a mechanic to lift your car if u dont want them damaging it.

Thanks Guy, does the puck fit the slot well? Do you need 4? (I have yet to lift my car and take a look) How thick is the puck?

Thanks

You DO need 4. They pop right into the existing holes. I think the pucks are about one inch thick not counting the top part that pops in. It's hard to say since I'm at work right now and don't have one in my hand. The Chairman of our local NCRS Chapter told me about the BMW pucks when I bough my C5 last year (and I already own a BMW ;LOL).

Stupid question...Sorry:confused

Do you leave these on or do you only slap them in when you are lifting the car?

Dom, I just put them on when needed, but some folks leave them on.

I would not suggest leaving them on as C5 Corvettes sit low enough as it is and the puck sits lower yet and might hit a bump or curb.
If you drive only on real smooth pavement you might be OK but I live in the sticks and the underneath of mine has considerable road rash.

What year and model BMW did you get the pucks for?

It's a dumb url - your put in the part # and it still wants a year and make, so put in 2005 330i.

Put in any 2004 3 Series then look at the part number.
