Hello All.
I just wanted your thoughts on this. 1980 Corvette. L48 with 59,640 miles. Completely stock. Bought it last July. After going through the entire car to make sure everything was okay, I took it out for it's first drive. Ran terrible. Bucking and no power. Don't know why but I plugged EGR valve and drove it again. Those two issues were gone. But I'm still getting ( probably covered up when it was bucking and no power ) a light surge. Mostly between 40 and 45 MPH. It seems going along 50 to 55 I don't feel it. EGR is still plugged. Timing is at 8 deg. Car runs around 190 deg. I'm running 93 octane 10 percent ethanol gas. It's at 1/2 full right now. I also added Lucas Ethanol treatment in the tank. When tank is at 1/4 I will fill using non-ethanol 91 fuel. Any thoughts? Should I run some fuel treatment in the gas? Thanks in advance! Don
