I just purchased a 1993 coupe.:D It is almost perfect but does have few things that need work.

Does any one have any suggestions on how to get the doors to close with same solid feel as when they were new?

The RPM guage does not indicate properly. It moves around but does not reflect actual engine RPMs. Any quick fixes for this?

I hit a bump the other day and the radio quit. Antenne went down and does not come back up. I have pretty good trouble shooting skills but I would rather have the experts here guide me if they can.

Appreciation and thanks to all who respond. :w From what I have seen and read on this site it is populated with some really great folks who love to help.:upthumbs

I am far from the leading expert on here but I do know the tach has a filter which may be your problem. My manual is for an 88 but I'm sure someone with your exact year will chime in with it's location.
As to the radio issue. You don't mention if the radio is working at this time but a power loss, say from a loose wire would also send the antenna down as well.

PLaces to start anyway. Sorry I couldn't be of more help but hang in there....the cavalary is right around the corner.:)

The radio part shouldn't be too difficult. My guess would be either the radio itself or a loose or dirty connection in the back. I had mine out and sent for a complete redo by bose. Start with the center consol lid and under the rug in the consol....screw or screws. Careful with the plastic cover comming off the front....it's fragile...check center AC for screw or screws....I remember taking something apart here. After this is removed everything comes out fairly easy except the radio which is restricted somewhat but it comes out. Others will give you more detail I'm sure. Good Luck! And congrats on the purchase...you're gonna love the car!

Appreciate the info. I am looking for a manual that shows where all those part are hidden.

Get the manual like JonM said. they are the GM manual that the dealers use.It is near imposible to work on these cars without it. Welcome to vette ownership and don't forget to wave.
