where is the drain plug for the radiator located on the ls1? need to change the water pump and it says to drain old coolaint but cant locate the drain?

Hi there,
The drain is located on the passenger side of the radiator, and you need to use a 1/4 inch ratchet, with a small extension.
It is about yellowish in color, and will drain right out of the mounting plastic on that side.

it had green in it though someone said that could have been the reason the water pump went cause it was suppost to have the orange
. ahhh people will we ever learn lol ever time we take it to the garage they put different stuff in it just got oil changed and they put a different kind of oil in it old man was peed so he is gonna drain that 2 . Well needless to say we are learning how to work on the c5 so things are done the way we want them done. And first car ever i didnt hear him out there yelling ^&%$ %$#@ *&^!!!!! ;worship ty again ok http://www.c5-corvette.com/images/98samco4.jpg is that the same place on the 97?

PS just remember, that your coolant change intervals are now 2 years 24k, because of the contamination.

hubby said well then thats 5 times a yr because we put 24k on her in a half of yr
