Now that's a nice set! Couldn't do better myself! :D

Glad you finally got the pictures and are enjoying the new ride!

So by now you have some miles on the Z06, and you now have a better understanding why you just cant have one vette.

Years ago when I was purchasing our C5 I figured if we dont use the 66 it would go up for sale. Well I barely used the 66 the first year we owned a C5.

It just sat in the garage taking up space. Thank goodness no body offered to purchase the 66 from me that year as I would have sold it.

Fast forward a year and the novelty of the C5 wore off and I got back behind the wheel of the 66 and realized why I cant sell it .

I guess what I am trying to say is keep your midyear (I know your not saying you plan on selling it) but I have thought a couple of times I should sell my midyear because I was not using it as much as I should, And there was no reason to have 2 vettes, but i have been lucky no body has offered me any money for it while I am thinking i should sell it. Most of the offers I have gotten on it is wright after I made the decision to keep the car forever.

I am not selling my car ether I am just telling you what goes thru my some times short circuiting brain of mine.

Enjoy them.

I can tell you I am a safer driver in my C5 then in any of my other vehicles on the highway. Its bright yellow and easy to spot. So when ever I am on a highway I always take the center lane and set the cruise control just a tad over the speed limit, I feel if a cop has a choice to pull over a speeding soccer mom in her suv or the speeding vette he would pick me,So I pretty much always use cruise control in this car to avoid a problem,

Best of luck with the new car it looks great

Wow...the newer Vettes definitely look modern and aerodynamic and all that, but the midyear BB's always did and always will, just look nasty! I cut my Corvette teeth on a '67 and always will have mine but I also have a '93 ZR1 which is as new as I wanted to go and I can tell you I appreciate both cars for their respective differing personalities. Whomever said it first, you were right...nothing like 2 Vettes to satisfy your needs.:w

jim, looking good!!!!!!!

That would be a very fine pair to have sitting in the driveway.
Congratulations on your new acquisition. They look great together!

Good looking pair, each generation has their own personalities. I agree with what Larry says about keeping both if possible. The C5 is much more comfortable and stable at speed (deceptive even) but there will be times you will want that old time feeling pushing you back in the seat as the midyear squats under power. The older cars will get more thumbs up and looks also.
You ought to bring them both to Wasean (sp) Tuesday night for the grand cruise-in (Usually in excess of 600 cars) and its only about 30 miles or so from you.

Jim

nice looking Z06!
Congrats on the new car.

What a pair of Vettes.......... a tripowered '67 and a Z06!
SWEEEEEEEEET

Thanks all for the great comments. The Z06 sure is a blast to drive..
IH2LOSE,
You really nailed it w/ your thread, the Z is very popular rite now.I took to a rally on friday night, and the Z did'nt get alot of attention(maybe cause there was a new Ford GT there(that will be short lived) 2 weeks ago I took the 67 coupe and everyone druelled..Those old stingrays will always be classics..
I even read something last week that the Commemorative Z06 actually went up in value..My wife was thrilled but then she said she did'nt believe me.Life goes on..
