Well, I went on my first extended ride with my 86. I had to drive to the in laws in PA and decided to cruise with the top off and see how she does. Before this, I merely went for local rides, or a quick hop down the shore. This was a two hour and forty five minute ride (each way, done in one day). Most of it was on 78, but I had to take a two lane road for the last 45 minutes. What a ride. She did great. Handled like a champ on the curves and performed flawlessly!!! Saw a couple fellow owners on the road and everyone waved and smiled... I think we were all enjoying a bit of excellent weather!! Got a little sunburn (OK a lot), but well worth it. I can't wait for my next long distance adventure!!! Next time, I think I will wear a hat though!!!

Yeah, my car made it from South Bend Indiana, all the way down to Bowling Green Kentucky, without a problem. They are awesome cars to get in and drive. Glad to hear that your trip went well!

Yes you did, and as I recall you and your brother were both a bit SUNBURNED too. :D

I am planning on taking mine to "Vettes on the Rockies" this weekend. Can' t wait.

I've had some wonderful drives in my C4s over the years, San Francisco to Palm Springs, L.A., the northern california coast, big sur, Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas, the car was built for all these great highways.
