long time to start hot or cold? i am thinking fuel?
been noticing my 86 vette seems to take a while to start? at first i thought it was just after i was drving it and the engine was warm. but it sat for a couple of days, i tried to start it last night and it took a while to turn over and seemed to puff out some smoke once it did start, not sure if it was to much fuel or not. i need to check the fuel system? i have fuel pressure gauge from my last GM fuelly truck i owned and had a in the tank fuel pump problem with it and was the $400 fuel pump that was bad. my 86 vette has 85K miles, and a new exhaust system with brand a new cat and mufflers. i have changed plugs, cap and rotor so far, wires look o.k.? i haven't checked timing yet, been a while since i had the car that needed a timing light and found out the bulb in mine is burned out?? I did adjusted the IAC, and set TPS at .54 volts.
