Well there is some good news in all of this. Turns out the guy who hit the building and my brothers car uses the same insurance company we do. The agent couldn't believe it. At least we wont have to struggle with the insurance companies.
Allright Wayne, fess up! How old are you :confused Not to say you aren't right, but there is a point for each individual. Unfortunately sometimes there are not proper support systems in place to assist, and assess skills.
This is one of the very few places where I think government involvement that doesn't already exist would be appropriate. Unfortunately people die as a result of old people not able to assess their own abilities. Not to say there aren't a lot of other preventable deaths and injuries, but this is fairly easy to evaluate and possibly prevent. EOR
Sorry to hear about the accident. Almost as weird as a friend of mine, who was hit not once, but twice by the same guy. Backed into his car. Stopped to check damage, got back in his car, put it in "wrong" gear, and backed into him again.
There are a lot of dangerous drivers out there. Hope this event, takes this one off the road.

Yeah my dad is going to talk to the insurance company about who they will write a check to. Then I am going to talk to the guy I know that does deacent paint work and I am going to try and have him but the new bumper/beltline on for me and paint the car for me. I will post updates hopefully tomorrow.
Well I just got my copy of the estimate. The lady that my insurance company sent out is not an "expert" on Corvettes. She gave me an estimate of $824.45. Funny thing is, she figures labor at 42 dollars an hour, and I would love to find a shop that worked for that. The shop that put my motor back in was 80 or so. They are mailing me the check, but I am not going to cash it. ad

Well that is the funny thing. They recommended Manns corvette shop, and the labor their is 80 bucks an hour. I just love how these people think our cars can just be touched up. They have no idea how 18 year old paint on the majority of the car, and new point on the front will look. Especially BLACK, or red, or heck just about any color.
