Looking for 1980

I am now looking for a 1980 for my father-in-law. This man has helped me get a great job. After aprox. 8 yrs in law enforcment he talked me into this new job. He has been there every turn for the last 8 months.
I could go on and on but I'm not. The point is he has had many vette's and the last one he had was a 72. This christmas he will have a 1980. ( that is the yr my wife was born, and he relly likes that car).
I am looking to spend some where in the price range 0f 10k-to-15k. I think this is a good price rang to pick up a nice ride for him. If I am wrong please let me know.
I am in St. Croix working right now but if a car comes up I will fly home to look at it. My wife is down here for now but will be home in Aug. That is the time frame I will relly be looking hard.(If nothing comes up before then)

You might try Bud's Chevrolet up in St. Mary's, OH. We were crusing this past weekend and stopped in. They have a beautiful 1980 L82 on the floor for $14,500. Nice shape.

1980 Vette

I have a 80 4 speed with 88K miles I am willing to sell. It is in fair condition, but does need some minor work. The drive train, frame and suspension are solid. Paint is good and interior is in good condition. I just put new brakes all around and a new master cylinder. The AC works and has been converted to R134A. sorry I did not get with you but the Motorcop that got killed in Baton Rouge was A friend Of mine And I had to deal with that. It was very hard ordeal to go through.
If anyone else reads this please pray for Cpl. Chris Metternich's Family, He Has a six month old Daughter.

Sorry to hear that, and You and his family have our deepest sympathy. Most of my family are either policeman now or retired from the BRPD or Sheriff's office.He was a close friend of my nephew that is with BRPD now.

I've got a very nice 80 with less than 40,000 miles on it. I would be willing to sell for $15,000. Car is red with a red interior, glass T-tops and aluminum wheels. Automatic trans. Paint is good. Interior is excellent. See pictures below. New Eagle GT II tires. Breaks done in June. The car is mostly original. It has the following performance modifications:
B&M shift kit
Custom distributor advance curve for more low end power

This car has proven reliable on longer trips. We are actually driving it to Mid America's Corvette FunFest in Effingham, IL next weekend. I'm hoping to find a buyer there.
