I am in need of assistance in locating a seal ring for my power brake booster. It is a metal backed, rubber seal the fits in ther recessed area of the power booster (where the master cylinder slides in). It seals up the gap between the inside edge of the booster body and the rod extending out, and subsequently seals the MC when installed. My old one is pretty rotted away around the edges. It is says Bendix 2500932. I have checked with local parts stores and even with someone with Bendix and they couldn't cross reference the part number, and the stores had none to possibly replace it with. I have also looked through a few Corvette parts magazines (Corvette Central, Mid-America, and Rik's Vet out of Morganton, NC), but didn't not see anything listed, although it looked like Corvette Central had it pictured in a diagram. If anybody has any info. on where to get the part, or even info. that could make my search easier, I would greatly appreciate it.:r

Okay, now I see.

Try my good friends over at Paragon Reproductions. They have both new and used parts.

They should be able to take good care of you on this kind of part.

Most of the outfits that make individual component parts for brake boosters will only sell them to licensed booster rebuilders due to liability concerns in the event an "amateur" installs them wrong and has a booster failure. These parts aren't easy to find, and most booster rebuilders won't sell them either.

Had the same problem with my '63 booster. Scoured Carlisle one year with no luck. Made my own out of 1/8" red rubber gasket material used when bolting flanges together on steam or hot water heating systems. Kinda forgot about it 'till now, it's been OK for 2 years now.

You might check on Ebay, there are several listed under "corvette brake booster".

Try Art's Corvette Parts. I just bought one for my car and a bunch of other little parts no one else carries for a few winter projects I have planned. This guy even has exterior door lock buttons for a '68!

If the link doesn't work, do a search to get to his website. His part number is ETG8290. The part goes for $7.50.
