For the last few months, I have been looking for something to set my car apart but not over the top. I have decided what I want to do (Granted, one is cheaper, the other is really unique):
1.) Buy bullet style mufflers and replace the factory ones.
2.) Fab up side exhaust that would use the fender and the rocker panels on each side of the car, plus a set of side effects covers.
- Mount and seam the front and rear sections into the car using fiberglass covers and vette panel adhesive.
- The covers would require cutting (to allow for the separation of the fender and then the rocker) and then using an inch margin of the cover, bond below the fender cover to make the seam inset. The covers would have their seams lining up with the fender/rocker breaks.
- Run the pipes similar to 69 style exhaust but using a smaller borla bullet style muffler.
I'll post pics of how I want to set up the panels (photoshop).
