Loss of mpg

I have a 2003 Z06 and after a recent drive I filled it up and recorded 20 mpg when it had been getting 29-31 mph for the same drive. I have an active code of P1516 which is saying it's the Throttle Actuator Control. Does anyone have any knowledge of this problem? I only have 40,000 miles on the car. Thanks for any help.

I checked the throttle body wiring and while doing so saw that the carbon fiber air-bridge was cracked. Replaced it with the OEM air-bridge and everything is working ok.
