Need a little help....;help
Is it possible to lose a lot of power if your timing is a little off? My harmonic balancer went bad and separated from the rubber over a period of time. this caused part of the balancer to rub against the timing cover. I replaced the harmonic balancer(which was a pain in the a**) and i patched up the timing cover. It had a small slice in it. Now I have everything put together and I still dont have the power I used to have. I also checked the FI and I did a tune up. So now Im thinking the timing chain may have jumped....does this sound like the possible prob?? Can something else contribute to this loss of power??

How many miles on your car? Could your cat be pluged? Check compression. Oil consumption?

my car only has 57k original in it. I did a engine diaognostic on it, but they couldnt go any further with out fixing the harmonic balancer first. I going to be puting a new timing chain and cover on it... I just wanted to know if there was anything else to look for...
