When taking a drive last night the low fuel alert came on and I filled up with gas 13 gal. Now the gas gauge still shows empty and the low fuel error still appears. Is there a way to reset this? The car is a 2002 coupe.

First, welcome to the :CAC We have a great wealth of knowledge on this website and many who can help you; several certified technicians that are always checking in. Unfortunately, there are some fuel gauge issues with our Vettes. I'm sure someone with more experience in this area will be along shortly to help diagnose your problem. You may want to post the year of your Vette to speed up the process. Here is one thread on gas gauge issue --> http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=28650&highlight=gas+gauge

If you drive around for a short while it will most likely start to work again. Late model Corvettes have problems with their fuel level sensors. It is very common. A 2002 should still be under warranty.

Hi there,
There is a revised computer program for the PCM, which controls this diagnostic.
You can reset it yourself, if you wish.
Basically, clear your DIC, and then while holding the #4 button, push #1 button 5 times, and then release.
You will see /manual diagnostics/ displayed on the DIC. Then, 10-PCM will appear, with a number of codes. When you see this, push and hold reset, until you see no codes.
This should put you back on track.
As for the warranty, yes, the recalibration should take care of the condition from reoccuring.
Allthebest, c4c5:hb
