Folks,
I quick thanks for all the input and pics- I'm a new subscriber and having a good time with this web site.

My probem... Low fuel light would NOT come on when running low on fuel. Took apart center dash, found no bulb in socket. Add new bulb and filled tank, started car- "Low Fuel" light stays on. Now I know why there was NO bulb in the first place. Could it be the special bulb socket that's the problem, it has a small circuit board attached to the bulb socket and wondering if this has a short in it?

Has anyone run into this in a corvette close to my year- 1978 ?

thanks for any suggestions...

Craig

thanks mv for the schematic- however, its this mini-circuit board that is separate from the main plastic wiring harness that has me stumped- it has a couple of resistors and electronic componants soldered to it. Have you or anyone seen this when you've replaced a bulb behind the center dash?

thanks-

Yes, they get brittle and fail. There's one behind the tach & speedo that can go bad too. Replacements (the only solution if it's truly bad) are available from most of the catalog vendors.
