Low fuel light stays on

I have an 81 vette and my low fuel light stays on. Was wondering how to fix it. Would it matter if there is no computer in the car?

I believe the low fuel light is illuminated from a switch on the tank level sending unit. Sounds like yours amy have grounded or gone bad.

Everyone's got fuel light issues on this board at the moment! Provided your gauge is reading *some* fuel, then I'd be looking at replacing the two transistors on the fuel light's little circuit board. They can be picked up for pennies and are often the problem.
