Low Light Intensity on Temp Controls

The intensity of the lighting for the temperature control (A/C, heater, fan, etc.) on our 2003 C-5 is so dim that it can hardly be seen in the daylight. It didn't used to be this dim. It used to be as bright as all the other lights. It is so dim that you can hardly see it well enough to set the temperature during daylight hours. It shows up better after dark but is still dimmer than the other lights.

Is this a common problem? Is there a fix for it?

I asked the service manager at the Chevy dealership and he said it looked OK to him and they couldn't do anything about it.

First, welcome to the CAC.

This a common problem with C5 Corvettes. The initial fix for this was to replace the AC head unit in the dashboard. I had to have this done. More recently, people have described ways to replace the lights.
