I'm replacing the lower ball joints on my '72 Stingray. The driver's side ball joint has a grease fitting, the passenger side does not, and, the "bolt head" does not have a place to install one.
Did the originals have the grease fittings. Just wondering.

The originals were riveted in, the replacements are bolted in usually, some new ones are made to rivet in to look like old ones. I think the original ones did have a greese zerk in the, back then they greased the ball joints so they would last longer.
