Lowered C5's - Your Thoughts

I really like the look of lowered C5's. It reduces that gap between the top of the tires and the bottom of the fenders. It also puts the overall body closer to the ground and that too looks great. It does require the driver to be more attentive to objects in the street as well as steep driveways. But hey, life's full of compromises. So let's here from a few of you. Lowered - you like? You don't?

I like the look. I had a lowered C3, all kinds of problems with roads and such. I'll keep my C5 like it is because of that.

I agree, leave it as is. It ain't worth the pain of scrapping and such!

Go ahead and lower it, ya can't tell when a silver corvette gets scratched or drags anyway, they look like primer all the time!

That just hurts :cry and if your that worried about it you can install rocker rails and frame savers and just dont worry about the occasional low spot.

P.S. Yellow will always be a fad, but silver will be around forever.:L

Mine was lowered when I got it and I scraped way too much for my likeing so

I raised it up some.

Its about 1/2" lower then stock

If I didn't live in the country I would have left it lowered they do look much better. Mine was at the limits when I got it. Scrapeing the spoiler sounds nasty but doesnt really do much damage, the skid bars protect the rest of the car. Mine has some nasty scrapes on the rockers/frame rails but you can't see them until the car is on a lift.:ugh

Lowered looks fantastic to me. One day I got to compare (side by side) my yellow z to another guy who had lowered his. Mine looked like some kind of off road vehicle compared to his.
