LS6 crate motor?

I was reading the Chicago Tribune the other day and came across an article where GM will be coming out with a motor for (I think) pre-74? vehicles. It'll be a motor that puts out 405 HP and 400 lbs. of torque.

Anyone else hear about this?

It could be the new 8.1 (496) crate engine. A car version of the Mercury Marine 8.1 engine covered in Hot Rod this month.
