I have a '73 small block. I came across an old intake off a '71 LT-1 engine. Will this fit under my cold air stock hood? How did they fit under old hoods? Was the big block hood taller than the later cold air hood? I saw the earlier post on intakes, and have read the warnings in the Eldebrock catalog on " won't fit under stock vette hoods". Looks like nothing but the 2101 will fit. But this LT-1 unit seems much higher than an Air Gap for example. Do I need a drop center air cleaner?

Thanks in advance.

LT-1's had big block hoods.

Sorry about my previous reply. I didn't notice that you knew LT-1's had the bb hood.
