What a weird day today was for me & the Mrs.
We watched the LT-1 drive away with a new owner, then spent this afternoon and evening at Fenway Park for a special event held by my employer.
We were given Wilson 100th anniversary gloves, spent BP in centerfield, given a tour of Fenway and had front row seats in the Pavilion area (left field)
for the game - they also fed and "beveraged (brews) us."

Talk about a day of highs and lows.

Tomorrow it's on to Merrimac NH for the vette show even though we'll be vetteless for the 1st time in 10 years, then it's on to a party later in the day.

I don't remember the last time I've felt so drained - I don't know how I feel really.

Highs and lows... Time will dull the LT-1 pain but you get to keep the gloves!

I remember how difficult it was to drive away and leave my first Vette, the 94 I sold back to the dealer I'd bought it from earlier. Of course, there was the knowledge that I had my new C5 waiting at home for me so I wouldn't be Vette-less. Do you plan on buying another JS? If you're upgrading to a newer model, there will be a remarkable difference from the C3 you're accustomed to driving.

We all hate to see the old ones go. The good news is that there are a lot to choose from if you're looking to replace it.

Yes, the Mrs. keeps insisting there will be another vette in the garage soon. That kind of attitude sure does help.;)

I guess I didn't tell you about the ball Mac. We were on the field during batting practice - Denise got a ball too!

Have a great Memorial Day everybody.

Not sure why you sold it, but it must have been a tough decision. Get back into the saddle, that seems to help fill the void.

When I picked the car up from Winter storage I was told a client of the person I store my car with was interested in a car similar to mine - the guy saw my car while looking at a
recently restored, but heavily modied (~500hp, side pipes ) '70 that had parked next to mine.

I was asked if I had a "number" that I would sell the car for and I pretty much got my number.

Jane Ann, we were looking at a couple of C6's that were similar in color to yours. I like the black top/interior over crystal red, or whatever they're calling it. I wouldn't be able to purchase that color combo thought due to the fact that my neighbor has a 2003 Anniversary Edition, and it's just too similar.

I like the Jetstream Blue with black top/interior, and Denise did too (on the web) until she saw it in person today - it's just "too blue" if you know what I mean - I still liked it so you never know!

I like the reds, particularly the dark reds, but I preferred the Monterey Red over the Crystal Red. And tell Denise she's not alone, I'm not at all taken with the Jetstream Blue. It's too bright a blue for my taste. I do like the Supersonic Blue though. And I like the LeMans Blue as well. My favorite C5 color was the 03 Anniversary Red. That one I love!

Good luck with the hunt.
Be sure to start a thread and post photos while you're looking.

BTW... I like the black top over red too. This is one of my favorite photos of my C5:

Take a C5 or C6 for a ride. :thumb I'm sure you will not be vetteless for long. Save the Wave.>George

Yeah, I have a feeling this is going to happen sooner rather than later even though I'd much prefer to wait a bit.

I already have the itch!;)
