What will a bone stock 92-96 LT1 Corvette Automatic dyno on a dyno machine?

Thanks, Jason

The LT1 was rated at 300 Net Hp so if on a chassis dyno I would say rear wheel HP around 250

The newer ones actually have a bit more power, even though they didn't change the rating, so for 94-96: 250 RWHP, 92-93: 240 RWHP... these numbers are +- a few, but they should be close for an automatic car.

...the difference?

Vettelt193,

What did GM change that you attribute the difference to? I know
the older ones have the speed density set up. I know the computer is different. But I thought these changes should have minimal impact.

My 6spd dynod 266 rear whl as a stock car. I think 240rwhp might be too low for 1993.

don't forget 6-speed had more RWHP, and there are +- differences... generally speaking 5% differences in engines is normal, so your is a bit better than the average.... Above the speed density setup, they switched from batch-fire to sequential fuel injection, and the computers/programming got better... the biggest changes happened between 93 and 94, and the horsepower increase was actually noted by at least one of the magazines during testing... they said something like, the car's HP rating is unchange, but there is a noticable difference in both seat of the pants and in the hard numbers... they also talked about the responsiveness of the engine being better in 94

...programming

Might I be able to get the '94 programming burned on a chip and put to the test in my car?
I mean is that what you mean by "better programming" ---software not hardware?

--Sometime after I'm done mods I'm going to get Ed wright or Jeff here to burn me a
nice custom chip.

Had a bone stock 95 on the Dyno in Feb of this year. The car put down 253 RWHP.
