Well I finally got to go to the track. It was awesome. Here are my times. Remember, this is my first time at the track with this car. So hopefully I can get a little better at the driving. I would just scan these but i dont have a scanner.

A lot of people were suprised to see an "old" vette run these times, I told them it is an LT4 and they just looked at me like :confused

First Run:
R/T_1.1
60'_2.228
330_5.924
1/8_8.867
Mph_85.12
1000_11.396

1/4_13.503@106.35

Second Run:
R/T_.944
60'_2.096
330_5.743
1/8_8.666@82.36
1000_11.165

1/4_13.257@107.21

Third Run:
R/T_1.1
60'_2.127
330_5.745
1/8_8.647@83.46
1000_11.142

1/4_13.233@106.99

My 60' times are not the best, you guys think I can run 12.9 with a better launch? Right now, that is my goal. Can anyone share their launch techniques

Not too bad, I spun too much the first time and the other two I kinda bogged a little, our track is not the best for traction so launches are difficult. I listed my 60' times for analysis. Any suggestions on launch technique. I have goodyear F1 GS-D3 285's on the rear.

Your mph indicates high 12's are there once you get the launch down pat.

:bar

The best thing you can do about your launch is practice, practice and then practice some more. Try different launch RPM's and throttle pressure. Once you find out which one gives you the best times, then refine it.

I see that each run was better and better so I think you can run 12.9

Any mods done to the car? Any planned?

Congrats!
Great times...especially for your 1st time.

Man, I need to take my car to the track but, of course, LSA is not too fond of the idea. :eyerole

She'll come around or my "lone weekend drive" may be taking a detour. :L
The track is 5 miles from my house.

Your car is crying to see the track. Go for it .:D

Sweet!! I like seeing those kind of numbers -- not bad for a nine year old car, huh? ;)

My best so far with my LT4 has been 13.2 @ 107.

I launch right off idle or sometimes around 1500 rpm, all depends on track conditions. I ran 12.9@110mph leaving at idle. The key is how much clutch slipping to do.
