LTPWS Service Warning Lit Up

Does anyone have any thoughts on what I could do to troubleshoot this warning light? I have tried removing the negative to battery just so everything in the PCM is re-set but that warning light came back on.

Well the light is on due to possible issues like bad control module or bad sensor. I personally think that option is not worth the hassles. You'll need the proper scanner to read the codes. That will tell ya what's wrong.
If not, pull the blub and forget about it.

What year is your vette? You can check the LPTWS by grounding pins in the DLC, but have to know the year. I'm having a brain delay here regarding LPTWS & SRC procedure. Can't remember if this applies to the LPTWS or the SRC? I think if the ignition is turned "on & "off" 3 times, without the car being driven, the LPTWS will set. If the latter is the case it has to be driven for a spell.........I don't believe disconnecting the battery will clear LPTWS codes as they are governed by the CCM.???????

My car is a 1996 - ODB II. I should have included that in my original post.

I have no info on OBD II. If someone has a manual for your year they can tell you if it's possible to get the codes by grounding pins in the DLC.

As I stated before, you need a scanner tool with the appropriate module. Example: Snap On tool ODBII scanner with chassis module.
Never heard or read anywhere that you can read the Chassis codes the same way you read the engines codes. Correct me if I'm wrong please.

If you can get your hands on a Service Manual, all the steps are there. If there is a sensor failure, the fault code is stored and available by grounding pin B to pin A at the ALDL with the ignition on. The ALDL is under the dash on the drivers side near the console, if I remember correctly. With a low tire pressure signal, the code is available while the warning is there, the code for low tire pressure stays stored even if you pump up the tire, until the module resets when the ignition is turned off and back on. The control module memory for the sensor fault codes can be cleared by grounding pin B to pin A, at the ALDL connector 3 times within 10 seconds

Hi

I just went through this and decided that as long as l do not have run flat's on on, l just pulled the fuse. This also kills the cruise control, which l never use.

The cost of fixing this is not worth the time and energy. The run flat tires are mucho $ and they are not as good as reg tires.
