I bought a new MAF sensor today at O Reilly's and the inside was different from the one that I previously had on. The numbers where the same on the box, but were different on the part by a single digit. The one that I had on had a single [very thin] post behind the wires, but the new one had a different design for the post behind the wires. It was in the same shape as the wires were, but I am wondering about this. My Vette runs VERY well now as compared to before. Was the old one put in the wrong box? The new one? Same brand and part number. Did an '86 have different ones due to the early and later models for the year?
