Ahhh, I hate to sound dumb, but what's "DRM"?Moonunit 451 said:Did you have a problem with DRM?
I didn't know TPIS had a chassis dyno-jet. I'll have to check that out. Thanks.WhalePirot said:TPIS is just west of the cities, in Chaska, MN.

Oh duh...my bad. I didn't make the connection between Doug Rippey and those initials. Sorry.Moonunit 451 said:Not stupid, I was just curious![]()
I am still attempting to find out if I should change the Optispark or not. It is not displaying any noticeable symptoms of malfuntioning.....and mechanics whom I have had listen to the video I made of the dyno run, tell me the way that motor rapped up so quick and smooth, tells them there is nothing wrong with the Optispark on that car.DkBG said:Hi Magikdraggin . I'm just curious about your optispark . Didn't the dyno place in Ft Wayne tell you yours was bad ? Did that turn out to be true ? I heard a couple of people say he was just trying to sell you a new one . Cliff

Not really a "problem" per se, just that I didn't care for their rather "impersonal" attitude, and their unwillingness to answer my questions in spite of the fact that three routine pulls cost me 125 bucks! And they felt that I was taking advantage of them by asking about stuff that could improve my numbers.
As a matter of fact, I was basically told that what I got was all that 125 bucks was supposed to cover.....inferring that if I wanted to "know" anything, it would cost me more.
Of course it didn't help my attitude one bit when I tried to find the damned place. What's with these Minnesotans anyway, that they feel the need to hide places like that out in the woods and then not have any signs whatsoever as to their location? TPIS is the same way.
Sorry for the rant. But you asked.

Unfortunately some of these guys ere so spesialized they think there is no where else to go, which is the case in some instances. I had similar experiences with TPIS and a couple other vendors, fortunately most of these guys are enthusiasts and willing to bend over backwards in most cases to help there brothers and sisters![]()

the ceramic boots are soooooooo much better, as a solution.![]()
