I bought a red on red 82 recently that needs some TLC. It has been garaged under cover most of its life. The original factory paint hasn't seen polish, wax or cleaner for several years. I need some advice on bringing the paint back to life. There's evidence of oxidation - slight roughness to touch.
Sometime during its life someone got a little too agressive with a buffer - the paint appears thin at the sharp body contours. I used Meguires liquid cleaner on the hood, that took care of the roughness but after washing the paint looks streaked. What are your suggestions? I'll post pictures as soon as I can.
