1988 CHEVROLET CORVETTE 35TH ANNIVERSARY CALLAWAY TWIN TURBO
This car was ordered new at Jack Cauley Chevrolet in Bay City, MI. It sent from the Bowling Green Assembly Plant directly to Callaway Cars in Old Lyme, CT for the factory ordered B2K Twin Turbo Option. While the car was at Callaway it received the optional Turbo 400 Automatic Overdrive Transmission Conversion and the GM Performance Parts GTO Ground Effects Kit was installed.
The car was sold new to a gentleman in Bay City, MI on 04/22/1988. He never titled the car until 02/13/1990. It was retitled on 10/28/1999 to the same owners' living trust. On 10/10/2002 the car was sold to a Corvette Collector/ Dealer in Wyoming, MI with 23,335 miles. We recently purchased the car from this Collector/ Dealer. It is still titled in the name of the original owner's living trust. The car currently has only 24,503 original miles. It is car number 74 out of 125 factory ordered B2K Twin Turbo 1988 Corvettes. It is one of 2 - 35th Anniversary B2K Automatic cars produced.
Included with the sale of the car is a copy of the build sheet, dealer invoice, original Callaway owners porfolio, and a variety of Callaway news article and press information on the car. This truly is a modern day collector car. It is equipped as follows:
1988 Corvette 35th Anniversary Callaway Twin Turbo. Very Rare – One Of Only Two 35th Anniversary Automatics Produced. Car Number 74 Of 125 RPO B2K Option Coded Callaway Cars Produced In 1988. Things are popping REAL fast these days. There was a day when you could think about it, but Callaways are not staying on the market very long anymore, and often like this soon after you hear about it, Boom Gone!
