Drunk Driver Plays Bumper Cars with a Corvette

On Wednesday, January 16, at 5:10 p.m., deputies were dispatched to Gloucester Court, in Lexington Park for a report of a possible drunk driver that had struck numerous vehicles in the parking lot of “The Apartments at Londontowne”. Deputies arrived on scene to discover a Chevrolet Corvette with damage to both sides and rear of the vehicle parked in the middle of the parking lot with Cheryl Jean Mayo-Jay, 54 of Lexington Park, standing next to the vehicle. The male owner of the vehicle was sitting in the passenger seat. The owner of the Corvette claimed that Mayo-Jay did not have his permission to drive the vehicle but did not want to press charges.
