Nope, appears that you have a vette engine but from a 69. The second motor number shown should match the VIN or 18S404684. The other motor number, T1029LQ, translates as T=Towanda (sp) plant, 1029=Oct 29th build date, and LQ is the engine usage code or in this case a 1969 Corvette 427ci400hp engine with manual trans.

Okay, not quite as cut and dry. IQ was used three times in the Vette, in 68 (which is good) and in 66 & 67.

1968 Corvette 427ci/390hp with automatic
1966 Corvette 427ci/390hp with automatic
1967 Corvette 427ci/390hp with automatic

The '68 engine could be right for your car but something is not adding up. You car, 404684, was built in Nov 67. The engine assembly date, Oct 29th, sounds right for a Nov build car. But the other number on the engine, 19s7069o, is just not right. The 1 is for Chevy, the 9 is for the build year, S is for St Louis, and the rest is the VIN of the car. By the way, in '69 the number after the S was a 7, for 68 it was a 4.

So one engine stamp shows a '69 build (and does not match the cars VIN) while the other shows IQ which is for 66, 67, or 68, not for a 69. The number just are not right. Does the stamping look okay? Could it be some type of restamp?
