Maybe Somebody Can Help Me Out?

I have an 03 Coupe that recently has been acting a little funny. When the car heats up I get a real bad rod knock when I accelerate, but only when the A/C is on.

I was rebuilding the Headlight Motors this morning and I saw a big stain on the block under the right head...could it be the Head Gasket? I pulled the dipstick and it looks a little scorched, and the last couple of times I've pulled in the garage I've smelled coolant like it's overheating. I keep checking the coolant and even after I fill it, it always shows just under the full cold line.

If the Head Gasket is gone is this covered under the Warranty?

This is really bad timing as I've been working a deal on an 05 Daytona Sunset Orange Coupe and I should hear about it tomorrow. Now if I have to tell them the gasket is blown, it's gonna really suck for me...

It should be covered under the 6 year, 60,000 mile warranty.

Get you new C6 and let the dealership take care of the C5.

Thanks, I've only got 27,500 on the car. Hopefully it's covered. When I bought the car I couldn't afford the extended warranty.
