I traded my bike for my car and the guy I got it from owned it about a year and knows nothing about it. Obviously there is a cam in it but I'd like to know the history of it. He dont remember who he got it from but he said he seems to remember it having 40,000 miles on the rebuild. You will know right away if you've seen it before. White metalflake, with a black stripe and the headlights permanently up and fiberglassed in.
For some reason pictures wont upload.
Its an 84 with the spoiler thats turned down over the 1/4 panels. Targa top. Title says "Previously titled in Minnesota"
Probably not but thought I'd throw it out there just in case.
thanks in advance.

Oh...and it has 18 and 17" 5 spoke chrome wheels off (I believe) a 2002 Corvette.

A few ideas for you:

1. CARFAX, so you can at least ID the number of owners, and where.

2. DMV searches. For about $20, most states will pull DMV records on a vehicle.

3. Join other Corvette sites... and don't be afraid to share the last 6 of the VIN.

4. There is a C4 Registry - C4VR - Official C4 Vette Registry - Corvette C4 Registry - that might be able to help.

Personally, the car does not sound familiar, but with some research, I am sure you can track it down.

Welcome to the CAC! I sent you a private message, and will be willing to help you get a picture of your car in this thread.

Don't waste your time OR money on carfax. A friend ran a carfax report on my car just to see if it
was valid. The report said my '90 Vette had been in a serious accident in 1997 in Mesa, AZ This car has been in my possession since July 1990 when it was delivered, new. I ordered it in May 1990 and
took delivery July 20th at Dan Hedrick Chevrolet in San Fernando, CA
I attempted to correct their bogus records and failed. It was so long ago (and no one is ever notified) that even the Mesa Police department could not access the records to correct someone's typographical error. They purge their records every 13-15 years unless there is some type of pending court case. carfax even hints that the mileage could be fradulent since I only have 32K miles on the car and no dealer visits (after some initial warranty stuff it never went back to a dealer).
