I have had it with the dealer I have been using for the past year. One issue had to be redone 3 times, just to replace the IAC valve! Most recently I had them replace the front crank seal. When I got the car back I had a intermittent low coolant light come on when I started the car and they forgot to connect the under the hood lights. This was obviously due to things not being replaced correctly, so I took it back yesterday for them to make sure they did it all correctly. But before I can get my car back they want to charge me a $80 diag fee. I am going to pay it but never going back. Does someone have a local dealer or mechanic they know and trust?

Jedi,

I've heard that if you wanna go with big bucks and get it done definitely perfectly, Tony's corvette shop near baltimore is supposed to be really good. I've heard from 6 or 7 independant people who have never met eachother that Tony is fantastic.

I would like somewhere closer and more normal where I don't have to set up an appointment in advance to get into the mechanic.

If anyone in the DC area knows a place between Gainsville and DC that does good or even adequate work, I'd like to hear where it is. Also, if you've brought your car somewhere that did a TERRIBLE job, I'd like to know who they are too so if I do end up guessing, I don't go somewhere that people know is bad.

I had a radio installed at Cooper's Corvette in Dumfries, they did a good job, but have not had any serious mechanical work done there yet.

Best guy in the area at a Chevy Dealer is Joe Malo - at Koons Chevy - Tysons. See Bill A. (his advisor) to set up an appt.
He is that good w/ his work.

Hope this helps:m

Tom (sr.) at Coopers does great work as well - Used him in the past and prices are fair :)

...speaking of the area - Check this out :)

Didn't Joe work at Pohanka in Sterling up until 6 months ago?
