Chevy dealer... Trusted? :L No way! They will rape you and take your beer away. Try to use them as a last resort.

I actually bought my vette from danielson connecticut (right around the corner from worcester MA). I couldn't find anyone trustworthy either. But I used my grandfather's mechanic in dayville CT. He's an old timer. His name is Dick at Dick's dayville garage. He's not a vette specialist but is very good with cars. he's been in the business a while. Anyway he checked out my vette and tuned it up for $125 and I drove it later that day from connecticut to florida with 140,000 miles on the clock without a problem. He's a mom and pop place.

Otherwise I found these for you:

Corvettes & Classics
Michael Barrows
44 Winthrop St.
Taunton, MA 29780
(508) 823-6150

Ron’s Auto Restoration and Sales
Ron Bunnell
21 Willow St.
Fitchburg, MA 01420
(978) 345-6159

Don't know anything about them. But try it out. Got them from a vette site!

Also for Connecticut:

Corvette Connection
72 Johnson Rd.
Bolton, CT 06043
(860) 645-0184

J & M Corvettes
David Caine
299 Broad St.
Manchester, CT 06040
(860) 645-6389

Again, I have never used them but the vette site says they're reputable. My corvette mechanic in Tampa is on the list too and he has never let me down!

Hope it helps

Fantastic, thank you. Right now the car is fine, just the usual high temp issues, and I am not sure if this is really an issue. Runs fine and will do shock and brake change soon, but need some place for a general tuneup and checkup. My gas mileage stinks, 12 around town and 20mpg on the highway at 65-70mph. mike.

What kind of temps are you getting? I am in Florida and usually hit 200-230 in traffic which I hear is normal.
WOW your gas mileage really does stink :ugh!!! Check those spark plugs, wires, fuel filter, and air filter. Probably need a change.
My mpg were bad for a while when I first got the car, gave it a tune up and some mods and I get 16-17mpg in the city and 25hwy! Which I hear is about right for our cars.
Good luck

Yes temp runs 200 to 230 in traffic. Had tuneup done at local chevy place, plugs coolent flush fuel filter. That is why I need a good corvette shop. will speak to Rons auto in fitchburg. Once again thank you. Mike.

No problem Mike. I'm always looking out for my New England buddies. (I'm formerly from CT)
