I put those same tires on my vert three years ago on Z06 Motorsports rims; and you're right... they are fantastic!!! :beer

Had them on mine.....

I had the Pilot Sports on my 99Vert when I traded it for a 99 coupe, it had Falkens on it. I got a real Falken :D I am going back to the Pilot Sport as soon as I can convince the wife I need new tires.

We have replaced the tires on both our '02 and very recently our '05 convertibles with the Michelin Pilot Sports run flats, and they are fantastic! What an improvement in both cars.

Put Michelin Pilot Sport A/S ZP (zero pressure) on 3 years ago

My 98 vert was harsh and noisy with the GY EMTs. Replaced with Michelin P S A/S ZPs and immediatly noticed a noise, ride and handling difference.
They also have a road hazard warranty from Michelin good for 2 years or treadwear. No need to purchase additional warranties. I got them from Discount Tire Direct with free shipping and had them mounted and roadforce balanced locally.

Keep your non run flats, I like a bit of security when I'm out on the road...

I use the Pilot Sports as well, but like 6 shooter and couple of the others, I use the run flats. Driving up in the Colorado mountains like I do, the last thing I'd need is a flat tire in the middle of nowhere and hope I have cell phone service to get the tow truck out. That would most definitely suck. Glad you like those Pilots! They are great tires.

Put the Michelin A/S Run Flats on my 02 Coupe and they are great; put Bridgestone Potenzas non run flats on the 02 Z06 on Motorsport wheels - run great and I really like them, but my wife won't ride in a corvette with non-run flats and no spare tire for any cruise or drive into the mountains. At least she has two to choose from. Wish the C5 Z06had run flats in the correct tire size.

I don't think I would run mine without the run flats...I like to idea of not having to call a flat bed.
