Members try to join up with someone from your area and make this a mini road trip to Mark's tech session and bring a friend or enthusiast along. All other chapters are welcome to attend.

Session Agenda TimeDetails9:00"The 1963 Corvette Authentic Rear Suspension" an authentic 1962 training program previewing Chevrolets totally new independant rear suspension system. 9:30Hands-on review/discussion of front and rear Corvette suspensions. Component part comparisons of 1963-1982, original versus reproduction as well as correct finishes, etc. 10:00Disassembly and rebuilding of 1965-82 Corvette rear trailing arm/bearing assembly. Discussion of different tools used in rebuilding process-pro and cons of alternative rebuilding methods. Demo of proper bearing set-up explanation of proper techniques used to rebuild other suspension components such as rear half-shafts and strut rods, front control (A-arm) arms with riveted ball joints and front spindle assemblies. 12:00Lunch/Shop talk

Flight car judging under Chuck Berges guidance K. C. Strawmeyer's 1965 and potential 1967 Bow-Tie candidate cars will be available along with other Corvettes to judge.
Extras: Mark & Rachael actually live in Lucketts VA. (town of Antiques) a great place to spend some time.

Directions
North:
from Maryland take 15 South go about 5 miles to first light in Virginia on 15 to traffic light (Lucketts), turn left onto VA 622 Lucketts Rd. and go about 2 miles to the second right, Evans Pond Rd. The house is about 1 mile on right 43431 Evans Pond Rd. with a wide paved driveway.
East/South:
Route 7 or Dulles Tool Rd/Greenway west to Leesburg until you hit Route 15. Take Route 15 bypass (you will ultimatetly end up in the same place if you take 15 Business) north about 6 or 7 mile to traffic light in Lucketts, VA., turn right (east) VA 622 Lucketts Rd. go about 2 miles to the second right Evans Pond Rd. house is about 1 mile on the right with wide paved driveway. 43431 Evans Pond Rd.
