hi,
finishing up my 65 convertible and not sure about the orientation of the aligment wedges...i know the plastic ones go on the body and metal on the doors and decklid, but not sure on the plastic ones where the round end goes and on the metal ones where the wider side goes...i was in windsor for the ncrs convention last summer and took some pictures of a supposedly correct car...the pictures show the plastic body wedges for the decklid having one rounded side to the front and on the other side to the rear...is this right?...also, do the metal ones all get one shim under them or shim as needed?...if anyone has any pictures or knows for sure it would be greatly appreciated

Doors:

Door Side: Metal, fat side outboard, wide end up (RH & LH parts).

Body Side: Plastic, fat side inboard, round end at the top, wide end down (RH & LH parts).

Top Lid:

Lid Side: Metal, fat side up - not sure which end goes forward.

Body Side: Plastic, thin side up - not sure which end goes forward.

Shim as required to ensure contact, lube contact surfaces with Lubriplate.

thanks a bunch, i think i can figure out the doors from that, but still not sure about the decklid....was hoping someone would have a digital camera and take some shots...nothing's simple, is it?
