I read in the July issue of Road&Track mag.that they had to replace the Goodyear Eagle F1 Super EMT tires at 5800 and 10,200 miles! This was on a Cadillac CTS-V,on long term test drive.R&T says tires cost $568 a pair.I was wondering what the mileage for the Eagle F1 GS-DS tire would be?I read a thread on this tire here, stating it was a alsome high performance tire for the C5.

The R&T drivers really enjoyed the throttle on their "V" and the lateral 'G' capability to get that little mileage out of their Super Car tires. I've got just over 10k now on my "V" on the original tires - they have a little tread left. I don't think they will make it to 15K. They do hook up nice though.

The F1 SC (EMT or not) is a 220 tread wear rating and the tire is designed for max dry summer traction.
The F1 GS-D3 is a 280 tread wear rating and ought to last a lot longer. It's also a lot better in the rain. I'm just getting use to them on my old Tuna Sport so I don't have a clue how long they will last.
The F1 GS EMT is a 300 tread wear rating. My 03 has just rolled over 31K on the original tires and it's almost time to replace them.

Remember, your mileage may vary depending on how you drive your car. For me, the first set of tires usually don't last that long as I tend to lead foot a new car a lot until next Christmas! The 03 is my wive's car, so I don't drive it that much! :)
