Missing Lock Washer.

Well Im new and I am about to tell you the tale of the unlucky :)

About three weeks ago I dropped a 95 Camaro LT1 (fulie) into my 74 Stingray. With a Super T10 and a Lakewood scattershield.

I managed to get the entire tranny and engine in, before I noticed that the lock washer, on the back of the pivot for the fork was not installed?

What are my risks of not runningwith the lock washer for a while? How long does one think I could run without it.. I know I cannot adjust it but I believe it is in a good stop right now..

Thanks
Jayme

If something requires a lock washer, I wouldn't run without it. There was just such an example in the September issue of Super Chevy magazine where they used a shortcut and left the lock washers off a shock installation. The bolt came loose and the shock fell and dragged the ground, wearing the mounting surface down considerably. :(

Just my humble opinion. ;)
