Missing when accelerating

First, my vette is at a friend's house since I was redoing parts of my garage so I won't be able toactively diagnose the problem for the next couple days. It's definately something I intend on looking at when I get her back home.

At idle seems to be ok, then when accelerating misses but then seems to run alright through the range????

Right after this problem first appeared, the tach stopped working, I'd say 10-20 miles after this problem came up...

Anybody got any ideas where I should start looking? Distributor, rotor, something more substantial?

you may have loose power and tach wires going into the distributor. i have seen the spade connections come loose after time, especially if bubba has been playing with it. Brian
