Hello! This is my first post, so I hope a am doing it right :).

What do you think about the Moray Project, unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show on March 4? The car designed by Italdesign Giugaro for the 50 year Corvette anniversary maybe looks a bit to futuristic, but also shows characteristics of the pure American sports car symbol :) Especially the steep shape of the rear end reminds of the C3 Corvettes. What do you think?
So, if a similar looking car was unveiled on the 2004 Detroit Auto Show, would you accept it?

:w Welcome to the Corvette Action Center!

I think it looks pretty cool. I like the rear of all Corvette's except for the C5 because it's just too big!

Welcome RRR240Plus!!

The Moray has been discussed here before. Most posts here didn't care for it. I like the smooth flow of the design - very anti-art & science of Cadillac. Close up shots showed a very strange treatment in the rear that to me seamed inconsistant with the rest of the design. The "bubble" top looks slick, but is totally impractical in that configuration. The front is very nice in that it fools the observer into thinking the headlights are those small slits in the fenders. They are, of course, the round shape at the end of the front bumpers. This front treatment would satisfy most of those who protest the elimination of the pop up headlights.

Welcome :w
I dunno about that car. In a way i think it looks sexy but in another way i hate it. I like the back of it but its just too "bubbly" for me i assume. Ill stick to c4's :) :) :)

Almost there...but, then again, not even close! It might make a nice sports car, just not a Corvette.:t

I like the rear end and the fenders, but the roof line is too bubbly.

:) Thanks for your opinions. I wanted to know whether this or similar shape could be accepted for the new Vette. Cool. So, the form of the car shows its character… the new power and the power of the predecessors! I think Ford took the right direction with the 2003 NAIAS Ford Mustang GT Concept. On the other hand, the new Viper SRT does not seem to make such an impact as the RT/10 beast (opinion). My point is, I hope GM will unveil something SPECIAL.

I will keep reading the posts and try not to repeat the ones already discussed. :)
