More C6 Pics - Not the Jim Dunne Ones

I like these pics better than that of Autoweek pic. To me these do not match the photoshop pic that Autoweek has. At least the fenders look different to me. Keep them coming guys..... All of the information is interesting and it is fun to speculate. You never know GM might be trying to test the waters with some sections of car to see the reaction that is generated. Either way I feel that Bob Lutz will not let us down. He is a damn good man to have in our corner. Thanks again.

I like it......I like it alot. :cool

These shots really give a better shot at the fenders. It is the perfect compromise to the front of a C3 and the C5. These appear larger than the C5, but still smooooth. The hard edge in the door "scoop" contrasts nicely!

I'm dying to see inside!

The car looks HUGE in that one pic. :eek As I have been saying all along once you see the whole deal you will like it. :D

BI,

Can you shed some light on the interior? Anything out currently that is similar?

So , the long awaited C6 is just another C5..

I think you are missing quite a bit. But you aren't alone. Most people on this forum are looking at the AW photoshop with the long snout and reacting the way you are. Lutz, Hill and the design engineer (brain cramp - can't think of his name) have stated on more than one occasion that the C6 will have reduced front and rear overhang. The AW photshop font overhang may be longer than the C5 - not going to happen. Not the C6.

Save the Beta pics to disc and blow them up, lighten them and you will see some of the C5 / C6 differences. Please note that those front and rear bras are heavily loaded with foam purposely shaped to resemble the C5. The longer I looked at the shots, the more details I found. However, unless you lived in Smallville when the metor hit, neither you nor any of us - including Auto Week, knows what the front or rear facia really looks like.

Longtimer ,

I agree with you, and hope you are right!! Those bras sure might cover up quite a bit. Nice pics though. I just would like a used 99 00 hardtop, won't be able to aford those new pricey ones. Hail to AMERICA"S Sportscar, whatever it may look like!!

Autoweek pic's!!!!!!!!

Just received my new issue of Autoweek and they showed the entire car from the outside.
It looks fabulous!

But you have to get used to it, l'm not there yet, but l will be in about 2yrs.

Give the car a break and it will grow on you. Bob Lutz knows what he is doing and will not turn his back on the performance needed to make the corvette sing.

I saw the same pics through AutoSpies, but also ran across some pics by accident on the Sony Imagestation site.

I've got both on my Corvette site.
If you are interested, go to 53 Forward to see them.

Yeah, that first shot from the rear really show the tops of the fenders and how different they are from the C5!!! Thanks for the info.:)

The interior is much nicer They used a BMW 3 series, as one of the benchmark cars in the styling "theme/Look". It kind of reminded me of looking Pontiac..ish but of better quality. In Autoweek you can see the dash a little in one of the pics. Look at the XLRs interior and dash layout is very close. The seats "style" will be kinda like the ones in the Nissan "Z" car.

Hey I found this pic while browsing for the C6 Corvette. What do you guys think? I realize that the nose is a little bit too long, but the headlights are right. How do y'all think it looks?

showstoppa, Sorry, but that pic is of a C5 with the Lingenfelter wide body kit on it.

Although it's really sharp looking, it looks exactly like what it is - an after-market modification to a C5. Though this is one of the nicest adapted headlight treatments, it still looks ... adapted, not factory.

I think that all of the squarish headlight renderings fail the originality test. Everyday I see lots of rice burners that have lite to heavy after market body mods. I don't have a problem with that, but I don't want to spend $50k+ for a C6 that looks like a C5 with some after-market tack-ons.

It is my belief that what is under those beta / pilots font and rear bras completes a new shorter, aggressive look that most will like.
