And lose horsepower? :W

Besides, I need the exercise.

Go with an electric power steering pump. Just upgrade the alt to 105 amp (can be done to the stock amp) Here is a picture of what I put on my 68.

The pump came from a Toyota MR2, there is supposed to be some guy in the NE that is making them for modifieds any of you guys in the NE seen anything like it? The box is a 605 box modified by corvette steering. The feel is very good since you are leaving all the standard steering components in place.

Bob,

I think we spoke about the settings when we first discussed the VB&P suspension but I can't recall where you finally set yours. I still have mine at the second hole (from the outside) but think going in one more hole would give a better ride without hurting the handling. You probably won't notice much of a difference on the highways but you will likely feel quite a difference on the secondary roads - and the speedbumps. :Steer

Rich

Following our discussion, Rich, I moved them inboard one hole prior to "first drive". I can't imagine how the outer hole must feel like on city streets. :crazy

But given its cornering abilities at one-hole-in, the capabilities of fully-outboard must be incredible!!!

As a test, I'm going to move them another hole inboard after the trip.

p.s.: I'll refrain from making any comments about your passenger's thoughts regarding the ride you gave her today...............:D

Oh c'mon, Rich. Take a chance. ;)

Thanks, Jim. I'm glad you like it. Some folks think I'm completely mad. :crazy

Not me I think its a waste if you don't drive them, most people don't get the picture Zora and the Engineers that have followed him designed and built these cars to DRIVE not sit in a garage;)

67heaven,

My 65 Vert is at the outer most hole, and after 500 miles of city driving, and I can attest to the fact that it's hard on the body ( mine ). Any streets with the normal compliment of pot holes , will oblige you to use a chin strap on your helmet ( or else keep your mouth shut ), so that your dentures don't fall out, but as for handling, you can never imagine. This thing is so one with the road, that you would swear that you are on the sticky section of a drag strip

Personally regardless of the rough ride, this is where mine will stay. If I wanted a smooth ride, I would have left the mushy suspension in place.

... runing a set of strobes in my siverado....I have them in my rear tail lights and in my back up lamps, any time I have some one up my tail I just hit them with the strobes and they wake right up and back off.I am not sure if they are legal or not but I use installed them for plowing.

Those would be great for some of the people I deal with on the Autobahn...

So, Bob, you're saying I should move one out rather than one in? ;LOL My wife will be phoning you this evening. ;)

I can live with that

;LOL

67Heaven,

It's your call Bob, you can move it in or out as often as you wish. As far as your wife calling me, well no offence, or dis-respect, but just make sure she understands that I like all my rides firm. ;LOL

Oh, so that's how it's going to be. Doug's got an agent now. :grinshot

Agent. I don't need no stinkin agent! :D Four years ago you asked me to help you dig a trench for your new garage that you were building to work on your old '67 corvette that needed "WORK". Amazing the bonds you make in the trenches eh?;LOL . Gave me a beer and you haven't been able to get rid of me since:beer .
What a hoot it's been, a load of laughs and a fantastic experience. What agent could have done better than I did? My friend became a best friend, I've met a lot of other friends I would never have even met before, in person and on the CAC, I got to work on a dream car I'd never have even got to ride in any other time, had a blast through the whole thing and we met challenges I would never have even considered tackling before. I couldn't have done better so thanks again and like I said no agent could have done better than I did . WHAT A DEAL!:upthumbs I only wish others were as fortunate to get the same opportunity I did, thanks for sharing your dream, you unintentionally made mine.
