Mud flaps/splash guards

I was quite annoyed yesterday when I spent a couple of hours cleaning up the Admiral to only get stuck driving through a construction zone (stupid city living!). When I got back, I noticed a nice coating of light colored powder kicked up behind each wheel on the paint.

I checked out my various catalogs looking for options regarding mud flaps/splash guards. I'm just curious if anyone has any recommendations for the least tacky looking. I'm kinda heading towards the molded variety (black) that use the existing hardware.

I looked over some previous posts but didn't see many replies with pics. I was hoping some of you might have some examples of what looks good.

I've bot the Altec guards on my 92. I'm pretty happy with them. Check out the Mid America catalog, part # 602-302 in the C4 section. Even on my white car, they look good.

And I need them since I'm running 315's on ZR1 wheels on the rear.

I just use big flat and wide flaps I got from the local Chevy dealer. The "moulded" ones simply aren't really wide enough, nor deep enough, to keep the nasty crap from getting on the vette or chipping the paint.

My vette is white and against the black tires and black wheel wells, they are hardly noticeable.

I don't have a pic that they show up in either. Sri.

Just noticed this reply.....sri it took so long to respond. I doubt I will be posting any more on that "other place".

Wife and I are heading out to the coast this coming Friday. If you want a visit, I have yet to see any kind of address from you. If I don't get one by Friday, I guess we'll just have to pass on the way down to "Dago".
