Muffler Eliminator?
Happens to depend upon where you live whether you'll pass inspection or not with a "muffler eliminator".
Down here in SC they don't have vehicle inspections like up in NJ.
Up there they have state run and private inspection places. What comes out the back end as far as pollutants is looked at closely. The machine rules. But if you go and the guy who's doing the inspection, has the "mutha" of all hangovers, anything louder than a cat prancing on a carpet will get failed for a muffler.
As it was explained to me in my younger days, if it draws the police's attention, you WILL get a ticket for noise violation.
So keeping your foot out of it may do in SC. But elsewhere you've got to check things like that out.
But driving a CORVETTE may be akin to the words of George Carlin:
"How does the Class Clown get to be THE Class Clown?
BY ATTRACTING ATTENTION TO HIMSELF!"
Some of us can't help but draw attention to ourselves.
(Drives my wife crazy, says I embarass her. I told her that unless she could take a joke, she shouldn't marry me. That was 26 years ago this week!
Can't figure, I haven't changed, but my act is cleaner.)
