if all goes well in the next couple weeks the 84 will be up for sale and i will be the owner of a 1969 427 with a 4 speed tranny... and its wayyyy to good of a deal to pass up... unless the car is a real rat trap..but knowing what i know at this point its been garaged year round, owned and driven by a woman in her 70's and has been on the road every season so it hasnr been laid up for years..... the price could be a steal.... off the top of your heads not knowing much what do you guys think it could be worth... what you know is what i know until next week

Have you actually seen this car? No disrespect, but your post has all the markings of a too-good-to-be-true story, most of which usually turn out as bummers.

Would a 70 year old lady be driving a big block '69?

Good luck.

:)

Nice find if it's all true.
That 70 year old has some good taste and must have gasoline running through her veins.
What's the offer?

My 70 year old parents drive a Vette (they're about to drop in on a new convertible).

I saw an incredible 69 Big Block roadster go in the low $50's a few months back, 70 year old owner, frame off resto, (I actually saw this cars frame as a roller durring it's restoration in the late 90's and it was exceptional), red orange color and it was trully car to die for.

Plenty of old plugs own Corvettes, I intend to be one of them.

That's the spirit.........:upthumbs

Any news on this one? How did you make out with the new vette?

I know the feeling. I got my 69 from the second owner, who bought it in 1971. I had the hots for that car since the day he drove it home and parked it in his driveway- directly across the street. After 35 years, he called and asked if I was interested- now it lives with me.

69 vert, 427/435 L-89 4 speed when he brought it home, the L-89 died in late 71 We both worked at a Chevy dealer, and he conned them into a 2nd design L-88-- under warranty. the L-88 broke the cam in 76, and he bought a crate LS-7. That's in the car now.
