I'll bet some of you may have had this issue so I'm gonna ask for some guidance...

I have my first Corvette, a 1996 with a dull third brake light lens. The tail light lens look fine but that third brake light is dull or cloudy and I am thinking it may be a symptom like what happens to composite headlight, that "cloudy" look with age. Some people say use toothpaste, rub it in; that may clear them up, or pick up a headlight restoration kit to do a pair of headlights.

Has anyone else had the third brake light issue that I have and if so what did you do to correct the issue?

96 great choice :thumb

I'd use headlight lens restore as you really can't damage anything .Best wishes and good luck .

Plastic Polish

There are a number of polishes made for the dull plastic issue. Get something like Meguiar's Clear Plastic Detailer No. 18 or Mirror Glaze Cleaner No. 17 and follow up with Clear Plastic Polish No. 10. This stuff really works well. :cool!:
