My new ride!!

I sold the 78 and I thought it would be a long time without a vette but, believe it or not I found my new baby!! I came across this in Florida and had someone I know take a look at it. It’s a done deal and I should have it in about three weeks, the wait of having it shipped is going to kill me!!! This is an awesome looking vette!!
1998 Black / Red Coupe with EVERY option and it's a 6speed!!!! YAHOO!!!!!!! :dance

Very Cool! I went from a 1977 to a 2001. It is amazing after all the improvements that they feel so familiar in many (good) ways. These Vettes just keep getting better and better. Have fun on those great roads in Dutchess County. Your new Vette looks beautiful. Classic color combo.

Congrats on the new car.I have a 2002 and purchased a bunch of neet stuff from the corvette museum for my car,window sticker,build sheet,and a back book they would be able to tell you how maney were made with your color combo probably

Use the cruise control often to maintain speeds.Its real easey to get into triple digits with this car with out even knowing.Sounds crazy but I normally pace a step ahead of traffic.and I have been finding Iam way over the speed limit.A little gas pedal goes along way in this car.I now use cruise control all the time and what seems like a snails pace is actuall the speed limit.

That's funny as hell... Your new '98 C5 (beautiful, BTW!) came out of Miami, right? I had that Vette on my eBay Motors watch list when I was buying mine! You must have reposted the pix from that auction page, because I sensed a strange familiarity when I looked at them.

I decided to bid on mine ('98 Torch Red, as the sidebar says!) the day the auction closed on Sunday, 6/1, but although I was the high bidder, the bidding didn't meet the reserve. After calling and talking to the guy, we settled on a price and I flew down to Orlando (from Birmingham) that Friday, 6/6. After driving to see a friend in West Palm Beach Friday night, it was back to B'ham on Sunday. Anyway, I hope you're loving yours now as much as I've been loving mine over the past 3 weeks!

Anyhow, that just struck me as funny to see your Vette on these forums after studying them at length when I was preparing to begin my bidding! Here's a shot of mine:
