LT4 My Previous LT4 is on e-bay

1996 LT4 Topic
Consignment dealer???????????

Hey Six Shooter

Did you sell it to a person or a dealer? It seems your C4 LT4 is going up in value.

It's really a neat machine and to me is as good as an early C5. But at that price you can get a 01-02 C5.

I was wondering the exact same thing.......

Awesome looking ride. You can tell you really took care of it. Whoever ends up with this is a lucky guy.

Question; in the interior, on the center console, on the center plate, between the two seat controls there apears to be a small red bulb. I've never seen this before. What is it??

Thanks

The previous owner had an aftermarket security system installed.

Dwayne,

You want me to go check out the LT4 for you before you buy it?:L

Thanks but it's right across the street from the Corvette Plant . . .

IT IS VERY INTERESTING TO SEE THIS ONE SINCE IT IS ALREADY AT 19000 I AM SURE IT WILL END UP IN THE 20'S.

If it was a rare color it might make the 20's but that color is so common.

Actually, I find it weird that LT-4's are only around $18-20k, but that a Grand Sport will typically be about $25-35k. The MSRP price difference was not that great. And 1000 cars isn't all that rare (how many LT-4's are there in total? I bet other color combo LT-4's are a lot rarer). Looks like a nice car at a price equal to the fun it will likely bring. :)

Also, red may not be a rare color on Corvettes but it's sure as heck the best color! :D ;) :w

I will soon be a first time buyer :D . As you have owned & driven both. What are your views in comparing your 2 Vettes.

Which would you say has more punch from:

0 - to 80mph
30 - to 80 mph

Stoplight to stoplight.

I'm guessing that the C-5 is probably an all round more comfortable driver & perhaps more stable at speeds in excess of 100 but was wondering if you would consider your c-4 a better ..... ummmm ..... "street fighter" if you know what I mean.

Thanks for your views!

I see that you're looking for an automatic?
I'm not sure they sold an LT4 auto, but I could be wrong. I doubt the LT1 (auto) would outrun a C5 without modifications. The LT4 (330hp) was a high rev engine, with a wide power band. I think that's the only C4 motor that would outrun a C5 (vert), outside of a ZR-1, of course!
